A brain stimulated by common ideas gets excited and it is shown in the machine - reaction of brain responding to some addictive drug (baloney response). For inst, took me only three minutes to understand that 9/11 explanation was an "inside job". But, for some people, it is hard after 7 years. This can only be explained by neuroscience. Also, ideas about money and religion are purposedly "fixed" by Jewish-owned media.

Actually, on August 15, 1971, President Richard M. Nixon announced that the United States would no longer redeem currency for gold. This was the final step in abandoning the gold standard. While, the movie is for the most part correct, the semantics used in the film could be misleading in that the gold standard was not completely disbanded in 1933

The Income tax is legal through the 16th amendment. Amendment 16 was ratified in 1913 by 38 states. At the time (without Hawaii or Alaska) only 36 states were necessary. Even today, with all 50 states, 38 is the exact number necessary to amend the constitution.

I think you're anyalysis is wrong here. We've just had tons of economic activity the last few years leading to inflation (in commodoties, stocks, houses...). Now the fed is pouring money into the banks, causing deflation.

the government doesnt borrow money from the bank, the government prints money from its own department of the treasury and issues bonds from the treasury. the fed is a separate entity.

Myself i find the zeitgeist movie part 1 and 2 very very informative.. they aim to awake people, make them aware of what is going on. Since you cant deny the fact today's society is all about manipulating people in order to maximize profits for own purposes. We must not forget how powerfull every individual really is, it simply shouldnt be a slave for a handfull of people benefits. People simply deserve better, its your life, decide what you do with it.

Very informative, and I agree with the narrator's viewpoint of religion. But I didn't like the narrator's viewpoint of not believing in God at all.
I don't know what this individual has been through in their lifetime, but I've been through many situations where God has revealed Himself in my life. Again, I'm all for the Venus Project/Zeitgeist Movement, but I disagree with the idea of not believing in God. The results would be tragic to establish a new system and claim that God doesn't exist.

Who do you think wrote the history books... The men in this movie are so powerful, if they didnt want people to know things about history they wouldnt let it be published. While what you say may be correct, and alot of what this movie is for is to make you think and ask questions instead of accepting everything you hear, its not far fethched either that history may have been corrupted and they only wrote down what they wanted you to know. I mean people believe in god... This isnt so extreme eh?
