Not 1978. But probably! It Makes No Difference.
The Last Waltz was a concert by the Canadian-American rock group, "The Band" held on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco.
Rick had an amazing voice, a great talent, "The Band" were lucky to have him as part of their set-up.

This is a great song, its great how you can hear the emotion in the music alone. The lyrics though are awful at parts, especially at the "Gambler says read 'em weep" and "stampeding cattle" parts. Otherwise the lyrics are just as good

"And the dawn don't rescue me ..no more." so sad and such a mournful melody too. A real gem in The Bands reportoire of many great great songs. Rick always seemed up for this song..always loved his solo in The Weight, it was the highlight of that song for me..that kind of nervous energy he had and slightly manic style..he was cool.

loved danko, shame on me for not commenting on him sooner..just always loved his style and voice, someone mentioned manic, yes, that teetering strong style. RIP rick, loved ur work. This song here done by danlo, was in the top 6--with young, waters, mitchell, clapton, and diamond..
