I really think there is way more to this movie than meets the eye.
The refrences to Exodus 8:2..
Watch the movie and pay attention to the clocks. Always 8:20..the rope to the left of the kid who kills himself in the opening...8:2..watch it and you will se it..

Hey, that's awesome. Almost a decade ago, I was searching for masons and 82 on google (cause of this film) and came across the Magnolia, Arkansas Masonic Lodge - subsequently I submitted it to IMDb, then resubmitted as they didn't accept it the first time, so I provided some links. It's just kind of cool running across it other places. This sadly might be my only notable contribution to the film community. Heh.

it is a great film, but P.T. Anderson's 'BOOGIE NIGHTS' is much better though. But with magnolia he has alot of very long takes and camera movement remeniscent of Scorsese.

boogie nights was a lot more mainstream, which made it more appealing to more people. this movie asks more of its audience to appreciate it.
