Maria Montessori ... ( 9 months ago by florydory)
Maria Montessori was a woman before her time. Neuro-science is proving her work to be completely correct. Her method is education that corresponds with the developmental needs of the child AS THEY HAPPEN, with ZERO gaps in what we consider as "fundamentals". Quality programs are hard to find precisely because of the DNA that you talk about. We need teachers that can apply the new construct of education. I have seen it, and the results are nothing less than amazing.

Children depend on teachers to help keep them active in learning. We as teachers has to find better ways of coping with the fact that there isn't enough time in a school day to give each children the attention he or she needs, in order to learn; but providing opportunities for children to work with each other. Teacher has to find pedagogy for teaching that satisfies the requirements of better teaching.
