Our Father (Pater Noster) - SINGING NUNS - The Lord's Prayer

Uploaded by: mysterytrax
Video Description:
All vocal arrangements by Ed Myers.
All instrumentation; arranged and played by Ed Myers on Yamaha and Steinway pianos; Korg, Roland and Yamaha keyboards & synthesizers.
Engineered and co-produced by Karl Bingle,(acedrummer@aol.com.) & Singing Nuns, at MISSION CONTROL STUDIOS, Spokane Washington.
Thank you Karl; for your talents and expertise on the boards, your attention to detail in the studio and being my friend, as also you are to the SISTERS.
Thank you, Sister Mary Bernadette and
Reverend Mother Mary Dominica,
both so much, for your sweet moods in the studio, being a powerful part of my track inspirations and encouraging our vision to put out quality recordings; for the world to realize and experience, the awesome talents and positive spirit of SINGING NUNS. Sisters, thank you for your dedication, vocal efforts, hard work and personal time; outside of teaching, working and convent life.
To arrange and record this song was a true "gift" for me. It is powerful, by it's very nature; in that the lyrics were given to us by our Divine Savior Jesus Christ; as He taught us HOW to pray. TIMELESS IS the WORD of GOD.
THE SINGING NUNS (www.singingnuns.com) are traditional Catholic Sisters, members of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen. They wear their full-length blue habits all the time — not just on special occasions or when they are singing. Their motherhouse, St. Michael's Convent, is located at Mount St. Michael, just north of Spokane, Washington.
These zealous women have come from all parts of the country and from all walks of life to dedicate their lives, time and talents to the service of God and neighbor. The Sisters engage in a very active apostolate of spreading the Faith, through teaching, as well as publications and other media. They staff a K-12 Catholic academy, a print shop, a religious book store, mail order center, and several parishes throughout the country.
A heartfelt lifetime of thanks to ALL of the SINGING NUNS past and present, for your inspiration, talents, vocals, friendships and contribution for the music, that has touched the lives of so many over the years.
"So let your light shine before men, in order that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven." — Matt. 5:16

Beautiful arrangement, makes me think of a waterfall with the cascading vocals. There's nothing like sacred music to lift the spirit. If you liked this one, check out the Ave Maria...first rate!
