ppl only buy games for personal taste which is why game developers appeal to those type of ppl saying they should buy or like the 360 because of taste is stupid
i had a 360 it failed 5 times on me which is why I prefer a ps3
dont get me wrong the 360 is an excewllent system for online play, wii is good for parties exercise and family fun which is why its selling so good
the ps3 is themost powerful system but its liabrary is small for now if u exclude the ps1 and ps2 games

Because within Games there is Art...it is Art that the user controls, nurtures, and adds his own brush strokes to...for this reason interactive entertainment (video games) can be the greatest art form there is.

I don't make games, but I still feeel I have enough latitude to say that anything can be a work of art. Ask anybody who loves cars and he will name you a couple of classic cars that some would consider works of art. Same thing for games. Ultima 7 part 1 and 2, mario brothers, Final Fantasy series, etc. Art is a medium through which one communicates a message or feeling in symbolism. That said, I thought MGS3 was a work of art but MGS4 is not. I'd explain why but I'm all out of letters. :)

Isn't it ironic that they hire ARTISTS to make their game and then he comes out and tells everyone that the game their artists made is not art? WTF? by his logic (or lack of)film is not art either. Games are an art form no matter how he spins it.

Movies can stand the test of time, some of the greatest movies of all time are classics, he's saying this doesn't apply to games since games get outdated, and plus you don't interact with movies like you do games, the same thing will always happen in a movie, a game is all dependent upon the player

I guess we have to agree to disagree like some people say. When I was in fine art school I created some sculptures installations that required interactivity from the viewer, interactivity doesn't make something art or not. Video games is a different kind of interactivity but it still makes the audience think and that has a lot to do with art. Some games do stand the test of time maybe not exactly like movies but some do become memorable...

games are not art ? ignorant , if it wasn't for Yoji Shinkawa's concept art there wouldn't be such original and full of interest characters , games are drawn first therefore it's art.
