No, the American troops were there BEFORE the invasion along with many other nations, training the Georgians, because they were afraid of being attacked by Russia, a fear which proved to be well-founded.

Did you know he's probably our strongest supporter of gun rights and wants lower taxes and less government intervention in both domestic and foreign affairs? Sweden on this end, and i would vote for him any day of the week if i lived in that country. Guns rights isn't something i ever imposed, and i know lots that agrees with me on that. The only restriction that i would like to see, would be that the person in question would be responsible, sane and stable minded. Handing guns left to right without these proper background checks are the very reason for the guns being used in criminal and insane acts.

I'd say the majority of gun use in criminal activities here in the States is the result of bad laws, like drug prohibition, creating havens for people to overcome the will of others physically without reprecussion. Violence will continue so long as oppressive laws create strong demand and weak supply that turn into very large prices. The laws make it too lucrative, life doesn't even matter (especially when being caught could mean your own!)
