My mother was from there.. My emotions are mixed as I watch this video. I'm happy my mother left Burma before this war, but I'm traumatized that I could have been born there. My heart pours out for them. And I promise my mother's people that I will do anything to help them once I'm old enough to make a difference. This is really heartbreaking.

The problems they face have sprung from the former colonial power's abrupt departure. Sometimes they leave but give financial support, but the still create a massive power vacuum. Corruption and violence runs rampant in the power grab. Jamaica, Burma, Africa..
