The plane is kept in Lebanon, TN (M54). We are flying over Old Hickory Lake, I-40 heading West, Lake Marrowbone and a stop at Sumner Regional (M33) in Gallatin.

The Piper J-3 Cub was built between 1937 and 1947. There seem to be many more 46's than other years. You can get one (in flying condition) for as little as $35k or so and as much as you're willing to pay for a show restoration. They burn about 5 gal per hr and holds 12 gal unless wing tanks are installed.

Very basic. Though, it does have a trim on the elevator. With a thrust lever of coure.

man i wish i had one of this but to expensive for a kid like me i cant believe they are worth so much in 1940's it was 3,000 at the most...and yes i know the money value has changed, i am trying to find planes between 5-10 gran thats all i can afforrd for now

am over at Hilton Head,SC nope i havent flown a cub yet, i am trying out to get my license next year, and yes i am going to buy a plane sometime doesnt matter what as long as its flyable. so is the cub the only thing you have flown or are there other planes that feel better

roger that i was looking for some planes and i found a 1982 Quickie its a 1 seater i e-mailed the saller but he never responded i guess ill have to call him it seemed very nice when i was looking at a picture of a similar one from the web i think i am stiking with that 1 and its somthing i can afford by the end of next summer ill just have to save some $600
