| I rarely eat red meat because I just don't like it, I prefer to eat fish..especially red/pink salmon ((wild caught)! :) But as a student of nutrition I'd say if you really want it in your diet, red meat should only be eaten once a month or less. |

| Lots of healthy ways to eat and they include eating no olive oil or fish. Being omnivores and having evolved and survived famines, starvation, limited food choices, our genetics allows us to eat a huge variety of different foods. Protein in red meat? True, but green beans are higher in protein than a Big Mac. Protein, carbs and fats should be determined on the basis of calories. One can of green beans = 70 cal and 8 grams protein. That is 8X4=32 protein cal per can divided by 70 = 46% protein. |
