just like Miyazaki.
I wanna see it and see how bad they screw it up.
What's worse, I can picture what they could do wrong.
For instance, make Kiki an "average" girl. She was not "average", half the story was her trying to fit into an environment that considers her "old fashioned".
The other thing they could do wrong: Overemphasize the romance. It really was a big part of the story, but not to the point where it was distracted by it. I will kill someone if they dare suggest anything too mature.
they'll think that something is wrong it that only the target audience can pick up, so they change it to what they think the target audience would like.
I swear, Kiki is gonna end u a fifteen year old who is basically a copy of Sabrina the teenage witch. What's worse, they'll probably make it some story about "her first time" and make me feel uncomfortable.
Of course they'll rename everyone to more westernized names. and Jiji will be her magic cellphone or something.
the whole essence of Miyazaki's movies is about how simplistic things can be, yet there's always something deeper, its how all his movies always seem to have multiple levels to it,like no matter how many times you watch it,everytime, you seem to discover something new...
i really dont see how they'd bring that out in a live action film...
