Actually you're not allowed to do this in Europe or America I think. When you do a display it has to be a certain horizontal distance away from the crown cordon, I think its usually something like 200ft. It's a safety regulation that was brought in after a jet crashed into the crowd at a big airshow one year, can't remember which one. The point is, no flying is allowed directly over the audience.

Actually flying over the audience is quite common, yesterday I went to the space and air show at KSC and the blue angels flew directly over us a 500, only 250 feet from the ground

One Blue Angel flew so low and fast over my house (we lived near the airport), it shattered four of our windows and broke the sound barrier. The airport payed for the damage. The Angels were leaving, and one was left behind and tried to catch-up.

While that is kind of cool, the "coolness" of the maneuver doesn't seem like it's worth the risk to the audience. I would much rather have the plane perform in front of me than over me.
Some people may remember the Russian Sukhou SU27 air show crash, which entailed the pilot performing maneuvers over/towards the audience, not entirely different from this F-15 video. The SU27 crash resulted in the death of 85 people and the injury of many more.

Agreed. However, I wouldn'y be totally thrilled to have a jet fly over me while turning at low altitude, knowing that crashes can and do happen at air shows.
The last air show I attended at Miramar in early October 2008 had a few jets fly over the audience. It's kind of cool, but it's not the kind of cool that's worth dying for. And as I previously mentioned, the jets can be 99% as cool flying in front of the audience while posing almost no risk to the audience if a crash were to occur.
