in 1992 joel schumacher came to me with a project he had been working on for some time but still couldn't get it to work in the edit. After working closely with joel we carved this film. to use joel's words 'from the edges of grey will shine the brightest stars'.
this will be barely recognisable from the mainstream release which was butchered almost beyond recognition and made robert duvall look particularly silly. however after a long and bitter legal battle joel schumacher and i are now proud to present our vision. a real film.
