It is old Turkish, and the translation is rough for that reason. It is a Shi'ite Muslim "ilahi" to Caliph Ali. Probably Kurdish in origin.

Sometimes I cried, sometimes I laughed
I run in to dream desert
My floods (tears) call Ali
Slave Himmet fell in love with God
My loves exceeds from my top
Ali fell into our hearts
My words (tongue) call Ali
(Himmet is probably the author of the ilahi. ilahis are devotional songs that dervishes and other devotees sing. Madman is "madzub" in Arabic. Madzubs are ecstatic lovers of God whom other people think of as crazy.)
