the point of holding the barbell is to make the exercise more intense. More intensity = better results.

Yeah tygrus compound multi joint exercises are much more taxing than isolation both muscularly and neurologically. To everyone out there try doing this exercise with 2 dumbells :)

Your an idiot. Compound movements build more strength than isolation. Example a body builder would do more isolation movements. A Power Lifter would do more compound movements.
