Ah so you've seen the US version first. I have seen the UK version first and haven't yet seen the US version. But I just can't imagine it being as good. I think maybe to really enjoy the US one you'd have to watch it first eh.

That is so profoundly idiotic, i can hardly express. The UK version is subtle, and captures the slog of working in an office, with no real hope for upward mobility. The US version is so irritating, stupid, and completely misses the entire purpose and effect of a show about office slog. Idiot.

Comparing the two versions is unfair to both .. The Office UK is simply the smartest comedy put on TV ever ..
BTW, Office UK stayed two seasons and a couple of specials episodes (14 episodes overall) .. they stopped when they were in the top and they respect the audiance enough .. it is not ONLY about money ..

Many UK television shows traditionally run for two seasons only. This leaves the audience wanting more, and loving what they got. It is one of the most fundamental principles of good showmanship - to always leave the audience wanting more. The US version is like gorging oneself on moldy meat, and wishing you could stop all the while.
Keep in mind that I'm American, proud of it, and have never even been to Albion.

i'm american. i used to think our version was better until i started digging through the UK clips. the american version relies more on slapstick type comedy. most american shows suck because they try to cater to the masses, and there are a lot of idiots in this country. even the quality shows like arrested development get canceled.
