i think youre being unfair. part of what he does is to show that there is no such thing as psychic ability, or mind reading etc. He is a showman, and a good one. what he does isnt the subject matter of academic (or applied) psychology, so no need to feel threatened by him-he uses suggestion, rapport etc. read his book 'tricks of the mind', its very good, and he knows what he is talking about.
