Nobody beleives they want alternative energy. They don't get paid for it like oil.
They threw hemp farmers in jail just because they wanted to switch to oil.
Locking 10% of your population in a cage so you can make money off oil is not what I call wanting alternative fuels is it?
History is History and you can't change it.
Governments made trillions by forcing people to use toxic inferior fuels and now they are telling me they would like to switch back now.
Please!

I used to like sunny days but now the smog just reminds me how corrupt the world has become.
Why am I the only one who sees the smog?
It's like running a car in the garage. We can see the smog filled air. How much longer before it kills us?
How much money do the governments have to make before they stop smogging the crap out of the planet?
Can they just give us a number? How much?
If we never acknoledge why our skys are black with smoke it will never change.
Enjoy your profits Mr. Gov.

Sen. Bond is right. We can still produce alternative energies while keeping oil prices down. Unfortunately, it wouldn't have a long-term impact on oil speculation, but it would, fortunately, have a short-term impact.
Democrats talk about immediate assistance, but so far haven't provided any. If they're so intent on providing alternative fuels, where are the subsidies for electric cars and wind turbines and giant solar grids?

It's so funny the republicans think lifting the moratorium on offshore drilling by the pres made oil drop, but are completely unwilling to pass legislation to stop speculation. They are a bunch of double-talking weasels. The Democrats could have made some of this problem go away but were stopped by the unbending republicans who refuse to work on oil in a joint fashion. I hate oil but the fact is we're a captive market to these clowns. It's time to march on Washington and throw them all out!
