Good video, but about the game in general one thing chocked me:
The chessgames team player with computer support, all their variations were rybka/fritz variation.
I think thats very very wierd.

And why would that be so very very weird? That was known by all parties before hand and accepted.
The main point you are missing is that you think computers are invincible, however they still aren't as good as corr. GM's in things like paterns, how did you think Nickel was able to beat Hydra?
I'd say the exact moves are normally done by hardcore computer-work, the general ideas and plans by the team

Still, its not a real world against player match then IMO. The kasparov vs the world match wasnt played with computers. Was timmermann allowed the use of computers too? Its not real chess imo then. Its more like kasparov chess or whats its called, also player/computer against player/computer.

well, as someone pointed out, computers were used this game. To a computer, this is an elementary tactic, which it will find in seconds. If you are going to be impressed by White's play, be impressed by the maneuvering that put Black into a position where the tactic was possible, not the tactical execution itself.

Yes, Timmermann was allowed the use of computers. Note however that at the Kasparov games the world was helped by 4 young chess 'stars' (Bacrot, Felecan, Krush and Paehtz) selecting the moves after which the participants could vote. Not computers, no, but I think such a team could generally come up with the same approximate moves as a program. That combined with that Timmerman is much better than Kaspi probably as corr chess makes it... about equal?
and real chess? what's that?
