Hey! What is the name of the bagpipe piece that is synonymous to Scotland? A piper lead the athletes' procession from Nova Scotia at the Canada Games (I was a Manitoba athlete) and he played a bagpipe solo piece that we hear often but I cannot name... You might know what I'm talking about....

12 Wing Shearwater P&D, 14 Wing Greenwood P&D, Atlantic Region Tri-Service Cadet P&D, Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo/Black Watch Association P&D, P&D of 7th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland, Edinburgh UOTC P&D, and several pipers from other Canadian Regiments attached.

Have a look at the book, "The Piper in Peace and War", page 217 onward, and you can read about the Highland regiments in Canada and how they "pretend" to be Scottish. While you are at it you can learn how they kicked ass all the way across Europe, often alongside their Scottish counterparts.
