I don't think Kanye West, 50 cent, P-diddy (or whatever the hell his latest nickname is), Snoop Dog, or a hundred other rappers COMBINED ever have done anything as creative lyrically, musically AND artistically as this one Steely Dan album, AJA. And of course, Steely Dan has done so much other great work. So you see, we all have our opinions on music. You can think what you think, and I can think what I think. That's one of the many great aspects of living in a free society, isn't it?

I agree. They are the Shiznat! Man, can that Steve Gadd lay down a groove. I grew up learning to play drums along with people like him and there is no better example of "Less is more" out there. Cheers!

Man, please...PLAYING an instrument takes YEARS of practice; rapping does NOT. People who "make" beats for pop and hip hop merely steal REAL musicians' WORK..And I should know; I've do both real music and I also produce hip hop music for rapper assholes...And MF Doom DOESN'T have even a modicum of the talent that the cats in Steely Dan have...Chump.

I actually looked up what a 'black cow' was, and I can't understand why anyone would put ice cream in their soda/fizzy drink - it improves neither substance :(

That song isn't that bad. This is better though, but I like Deja Vu too. However if somebody like Sean Kingston comes along and destroys it because that's all he's good at (destroying ppl's songs) then I'll be pissed.
