well for the DJX-II you can backup the custom patterns, and recorded performances, with the PC soft Pattern Launcher..
so if it goes reset, you can reload the content fast and easy..
I dunno if there's anything like that for the older DJX..

Hi - I bought a Yamaha DJX2 in teh UK and now its with me in India. It has all pf a sudden developed heavy distortion - just doesn't play. Any tips what I should do - Yamaha India say the model is not released in the country - have you - Yamaha users - any idea is support for DJX2 by Yamaha is available? thanks. (I've uploaded a video of the problem as well on my videos a few mins back, should be visible soon. You can hear the problem I am facing.)
