Video Description:
Co-Directed by Nathan Gulick and Jay LaPierre for the band the Beauty Shop, "Rumplestiltskin Lives", Commissioned by Scotland's Shoeshine Records, this video is based on the idea of a live painting. Working with animated stills shot with a motor drive, we would animate them until we'd pick a frame that seemed appropriate and get to work, scribbling, painting, moving little plastic figures around until we got the job done -all in stop motion, one frame after another. Features a guest frame done by artist Sid Peck.
