"President Bush is trying to pardon himself. Here's the deal: Under the War Crimes Act, violations of the Geneva Conventions are felonies, in some cases punishable by death. When the Supreme Court ruled that the Geneva Convention applied to al Qaeda and Taliban detainees, President Bush and his boys were suddenly in big trouble. They've been working these prisoners over pretty good. [h]In an effort to avoid possible prosecution they're trying to cram this bill through Congress before the end of the week before Congress adjourns. The reason there's such a rush to do this? If the Democrats get control of the House in November this kind of legislation probably wouldn't pass."

And yes, by this oil war, Bush & his two main puppets (Howard & Blair) have killed a lot more people than Osama. Notice how "hard" it is for Bush & Co to find Osama, yet Saddam was found relativity quickly? (continued in reply)
It is interesting to note that pro-Bush supporters were allowed to rally in Sydney, yet the governments (federal & state) attempted at all costs to prevent anti-Bush rallies.

Don't get me wrong, I hate terrorists that blow themselves up in public places, murdering hundreds or thousands of innocent civilians, but that doesn't mean Bush should get away with illegally torturing people HE claims to be terrorists. What if they're not? What if he's wrong? Then they just say "OOPS! Sorry!" ?
