Alexander Ekman (Stockholm,1984) is a guest choreographer for Nederlands Dans Theater. He is a young choreographer from Sweden. Ekman was a remarkable dancer at Nederlands Dans Theater until 2005 and started choreographing when he participated in the annual Choreography Workshop (now called SWITCH) from Nederlands Dans Theater. "Ekman opts for a theatrical, humorous approach. With this, the choreographer seems to join a Scandinavian tradition started by Mats Ek. By adding his own twist, he leaves us wanting more." (AD Haagsche Courant). Alexander Ekman is now working as a free lance choreographer throughout Europe.
