Jascha Heifetz plays Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto: 1st mov.

Video Description:
Jascha Heifetz plays Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35: I. Allegro moderato
*NOTE: This was from a movie, so Heifetz skips a LOT of the first movement due to time constraints. He skips nearly half of the piece, and so does the orchestra.
So please don't ask for second or third movements because I do not have them.
You also get to see a bit of Heifetz acting at the end. A great treat!
Conductor: Fritz Reiner
This is my favorite rendition of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. I think Heifetz played a bit faster than in his recording.

The first time I heard about him was around 15 years ago, and there was a Heifetz Boom in Korea. I wondered why everyone so much admire him. Now I can understand.
I have never heard a person who knows how to play passionately and emotionally with a perfect interpretation and almost machine-like skills. Not so many people can really do this, and I will only say 'great'.
it makes me smile
=D
it's absolutely without any feelings...
played like they though "oh, today we play a bit Tchaikovsky cause we have nothing better to do..."
horrible!
esp. Heifetz Ver.
