WELL this is a short and to the point tutorial on the songo pattern i was playing in the groove compilation i posted earlier this month. Hope it helps

With all due respect Johnnie, those ghost stroke left hand patterns are either sixteenths as shown on the written pattern you presented,or eighths as you say later on in the vid, they can't be both. Sorry to be pedantic but I think it's important if you teach material like this to at be consistent in your terminology/notation. No point in confusing the student, otherwise thank you good job.

it was great but i now is that your noy sopose to hit 2 notes at the same time with songo and i see you hiting the hihat and base drum at the same time but it was a good lessons

hmm.. to get a greater contrast between ghosts and accents, try lifting your wrist and pointing your stick down into the drum for ghosts and then dropping your wrist and opening up your grip, whipping the stick into the head for a sharp accent.
