Sorry, but I don't lack self esteem and have no need to "make myself feel superior over all other Wire fans". If what I said made you feel inferior then that's something you'll have to deal with on your own.
As for you Deriv, if I misjudged what you wrote, then I apologize. There are just too many people missing the point of the show and I probably lumped you in with them. I get tired of the people who think this show is all about glamorizing the drug trade.

I'm floored how they're able to make every single character likeable and so human in The Wire - This was my absolute favorite segment. This has always been one of my favorite songs by Solomon Burke and it floored me when I saw they put this together in The Wire ~ I got shivers up my spine. Best show on TV ever. If you think they're glorifying the drug-scene, you just haven't followed it close enough. Look deeper, have "soft eyes".

Well the song isn't 'by' Solomon Burke, the song is actually authored by Van Morrison, and Burke is doing a cover. You should check out the Van Morrison version, it's great as well, although the tempo doesn't fit this montage emotion

couldnt agree more. No tv series or movie has ever made me question my feelings for certain characters like the wire has. Hate Bodie for killing wallace, but still admire his heart. Hate stringer for killing D'angelo, but still respect his intellect. That has been the true genious behind the wire.
