The original french song is "comme d'habitude" (as usual), and its lyrics totally different to what Paul wrote, but I think he gave the song a larger dimension.

the original song is a French song called "comme d'habitude". the melody was NOT written by Paul Anka. The french song, the ORIGINAL one, is much nicer and was written by Claude François in France and popularized by Michel Pagliaro in Quebec. Really can't bear to hear Anka sing this song yet again, all the time.
