Yes, I certainly do! I also remember Dancing Bear, Grandfather Clock, the Banana Man, and, of course, Bunny Rabbit and Mr. Moose. How I wish these older, B&W episodes were available in their entirety on DVD!

I remember "Mr. Mayor" fondly. Keeshan was instantly recognizable in this role, but that didn't detract from the show's excellence. Remember his amazing supporting cast members--Bill McCutcheon and Jane Connell? Both went on to build distinguished careers as character actors in television, films, and on Broadway. I believe "The Town Clown" was created for "Mr. Mayor," then moved over to the Captain's program.

I believe this was 1962, as he said, "Good morning. happy Saturday, Aug. 5." I was born aug 5, 1958 and on a Tuesday. so thata would make this recorded Saturday, Aug 5, 1962!! Awesome memories!

What a wonderful sweet man who was my only friend as a lonely little kid back in the 1960's. Parents who were too busy to be parents parked me in front of the TV to keep me out of the way....thank you Captain, my old friend for making me smile and laugh and learn and letting me leave my awful world for for just a little while each day for the wonderful refuge of the Treasure House..

Actually it DID come back in the mid 90's I think.. didn't catch on I believe... but then it was really more of a bastardization using the same name.

been on the air..let alone been produced and sadly.
There will never be another "CK"educational kids
