Well if they do as half-ass a job as they did on 9/11, it won't be too extreme to purport that the government did it again. Our empire militarily occupies 160 nations. We have to borrow $3 billion a day from the Chinese and Japanese to fund our wars. Every empire that has ever spread itself too thin has fallen, and it's about to happen to this one. I think alot of people direct their anger at the war on the troops because of the peculiar nature of this war. Everyone except those in the government seem to acknowlege that this war is about oil and big business interest. Unfortunately soldiers who joined to protect this country are being mislead and used for the interest of a few. Honestly US Soldiers haven't fought to uphold the constitution here in America since the World War.

With you view, we have not had to uphold the Condtitution since the Civil War. But whenever Americans go overseas and fight, they are fighting for it, trying to bring it to the rest of the world. not a bad thing.
Soldiers are being mislead, but Soldiers follow orders, no matter how ill they think they are. Unlawful orders can be rejected, but not ones that you feel are...unbalanced.

The constitution is based on the concept of THE REPUBLIC each individual has the right to life,liberty, and persuit of happiness. Its not americas place to impose our beliefs (that we don't even uphold here) on another country. Vietnam,Phillipines War,Covert operations in South America,Iraq War. What do these have in common?

We haven't attacked North Korea for several reasons. #1 No Abundant Natural Resources #2They have more special forces than we do #3 Large amount of submarines #4 Oh and yes they are backed by China (emerging super power). US foreign policy isn't as intent on spreading the wonders of democracy as you may think. Historically speaking its spread when its convenient and when there is some financial or excessive amount of political gain involved. If you research every war you'll see what I mean.

Agreed...I also think building a nation is no different from helping build a person (spiritually,financially,ect) it takes time and effort. Until that person is ready there can be no progress. Its something that can't be imposed on them but accepted at their own will.What we are doing in Iraq is literally trying to shove our way, our values, our culture down their throats.We are so focused on ourselves we can't see theyr'e choking.
