I promise you that I had a jaded opinion based on what i heard / read. Until you go, you don't know. the other problem I have with Paul, is that he has demonstrated that he will resort to unproven, bronze age, religious ideals, before differing to science. WANTING things to be a certain way does not make them a certain way.

I gather that you are an Iraq war veteran. If so, then I thank you for your service to this country, and I respect the sacrifice that you have made. I'm not sure what you are referring to in regards to Ron Paul and the bronze age, could you clarify, please?

I like the fact that you are concerned about bigotry. We all should be concerned about this more I think. I live in mississippi, and I don't think people here would outlaw gay marriage, but maybe I'm wrong about that. I do think it should be left to the states, because deciding things on the federal level takes the decisions further away from the people who must live according to those decisions.

I am not a veteran, I do not deserve that honor. only a civilian, but working with military affords me the luxury of going to installations around the world and therefore, I fell like I can draw from the experiances of many Marines, Soldiers, Sailors etc. The bronze age comment: we have diferent explainations as to how the world works than did the drafters of ancient religious texts. Our innate nature may be ugly, but if we recognize it, we may be better able to deal with our shortcomings.

I think there is an inherant danger in having a leader of the free world not "accept" the theory of evolution, as if it were a choice. everything in science (from crop management to germ theory) makes sense in the light of evolutionary biology. NO state should be allowed to teach "Creation Science" because it is not a viable alternative. Already in this country, a 17 million $ institution has been built on this nonsense and I fear that with a non-scientifly educated leader...

Cont 2, we might see more of this back-pedaling in our nation. There is no guarantee that any society will endure, and the like many world powers before us, we may be consumed internally. Lack of education on the reality of nature could possibly be the single greatest contributing factor.

I agree with your perception of religion. I know that Ron Paul is religious, and he might not accept evolution, I do not agree with that, but I still support him in spite of this disagreement, because he believes strongly in the constitution, and he is a genuine, principled man, and all the other politicians don't have any allegiance to the constitution, which I believe is in serious danger right now.

Good question. Ron Paul does not believe that we should support Israel, or the Arab states. He has pointed out that we give Israel 5 billion a year and their enemies 15 billion a year. You might think that Israel is in danger from the palestinians, but if you watch "occupation 101" and "peace, propaganda and the promised land", both favorites on my youtube channel, you might get a different view of what is happening over there. But check them out and tell me what you think.

Paul can be "for" any policy he wants to be, or "for" any policy that sounds convincing to American voters; however, the reality of how the region will react is not determined by the desires of the policy makers.
