Actually, if you look up his "7 Words You Can't Say on Television" routine, it appeared on an HBO Special he did in 1978, six years after his Tonight Show appearance on Johnny Carson alongside Flip Wilson.

That has to be the most one-sided, ignorant comment I've ever witnessed. How are you going to tell me that you're entitled to an opinion by saying that I am not entitled to my opinion? Educate yourself and watch a few clips from comedian Brad Stine. He has a Dennis Leary-esque vibe to his style, but doesn't curse or use sexual connotations. If George Carlin is a genious because he used profanity to get his points across, then I must be a well skilled drummer because I can air drum in sync with some of my favorite songs. I know it's a dumb analogy, but I have to make it that way for you to understand it.

A comedian can also use weird analogies and funny catch phrases to get their points across too. I truly don't see how profanity enhances any comedian's performance. If you ask me, I think it's just an excuse to raise the controversial bar.
