Of this song, or of the whole show? Of the whole show, no it's not. Her voice was tired and you could tell. Acting-wise, though, it was impeccable. Her performance of this song, though, I'd say was her best, despite the quality of her voice. Her true feelings (and Kendra's) coloured the song and made it breathtaking. You could tell that they were genuinely upset, but didn't let it completely overcome them (Hilty, Chenoweth, etc). The acting was the best I've seen of her (which is a tall order).

I really loved these two togther. I would die to hear them in concert together. COuld you post Kendra's TG from this show, it's my favorite of her.

don't kill me for saying this, and i'm not saying they were bad or anything, but i agree. they're both wonderful performers, but it just felt like they weren't that close. maybe it was due to how julia chose to portray elphaba, but it seemed as though they didn't have the close bond that some of the other elphabas and g(a)lindas shared. maybe it's because i saw idina and kristin together, and nobody can hope to duplicate a bond like that, both on stage and in real life.

no, no, no. i felt like they were really close in real life, and both of them are amazing performers, but on stage it wasn't as apparent as previous elphie/g(a)linda pairs. don't get me wrong, i think they're both really great. random observation: they both have lower voices than any of the other elphies or g(a)lindas, don't they?

I was thinking the exact same thing... If I were singing THIS song for the last time on Broadway, I'd be bawling, even if I weren't all that broken up about it, unless it were like the absolute best thing that had ever happened... Which would be a terrible thing to say. But I guess they can't help it if they aren't very close. Maybe they just don't mesh well.

I think they're just more committed to the acting and as such they keep their feelings more in check than other Elphabas and Glindas. I really appreciated that they didn't quite fall apart. I thought that it was more in character for them to struggle not to cry than to just let go. I also LOVED their chemistry, just because they're both such phenomenal actresses and Kendra was clearly at her best with Julia (though she's amazing no matter who she's with).
