This is a video tutorial on how to flash your bios. This tutorial is using eVGA's 750i Motherboard and is the same for any Nvidia chipset.
The ideas and basics in the vid can be applied to the flashing of other chipset motherboards as well.

if your power goes out in the middle of a bios updated and your motherboard is not uber elite with two cmos chips (most only have one).. then you are SoL with a dead brick of a motherboard. RMA after that - I don't know anyway to recover from that personally

common procedure.. some bios update software may do it automatically but you should get into a habit of doing it yourself

thx for the video. just need some quick questions answered about my 780i A1 mobo. i get everything up until u changed the first boot device. once u changed it to cd-rom u changed the secondary boot device. do i have to change that too? Secondly once it gets updated and u hit F1 wat is the best way to turn off the computer. by the psu switch or going into windows?

After this u said to hold down the clear CMOS button and power on the computer. the 780i does not have a button so do i remove the jupper then power on the computer or remove the jupper and put it back in then start the computer. This is to load bios defaults corret?

no you don't have to change the 2nd boot device. consult your mobo manual to find out how to reset CMOS. When you hit F1 to continue and the computer goes to reboot go into bios.. once in bios you can turn the switch on the psu off.. then on again after a few seconds and then clear CMOS holding button or shorting the jumper whatever your mobo says and hold powerswitch in at the same time.. nothing will happen, release both, normalize your jumper then start computer again and you should be good
