Oh come on! Daniel learned Icelandic in 7 days. Just give it a couple of years for yourself and English :-) Only kidding of course (except about the 7 day thing) Synethesia is an ability/curse to see sounds or to hear smells etc. The wiring in the brain gets cross-connected with all sorts of interesting results (although I'm not sure the people with it actually always see it that way)

there is acctualy an autistic person that goes to my school. I couldn't even tell he was autistic until somebody told me he was. I don't think he's fully a savant though but he does excel rapidly in science from what i've seen

Only 1:10 people on the autistic spectrum are classified as savants. I am not sure what you are saying "I don't think he's fully a savant though but he does excel rapidly in science from what i've seen." Savants have a wide range of subjects they can excell in. In fact savants who excell in science are quite rare, so in all honesty I am not sure where you are coming from on this one.

Also, I wonder what a savants mind is like on an all day basis. What do they think about? What and how do they feel? Do they have a sense of urgency to fulfill their talents? Just because someone has a gift doesnt mean they will use it, but strangely they all choose to do so. Maybe there are more than 100 out there and they choose not to use their gifts.
