An excerpt from the 1988 NAACP awards, in which Luther VanDross sings "A House is not a Home" live.
He, more or less, sings this song directly to Dionne Warrick (who, originally, sung this song).
With the exception of "Stop to Love" (Live at Wembley), this is the best Luther VanDross performance I've ever seen.

Luther is simply the greatest balladeer in history, his words and heartfelt melodies give me chills, again this is what music sounds like when it means something, now everybody wants to take another person's wife or girlfriend, there is no such thing as love anymore, and it's a shame cause the children from these broken homes will soon emulate the behavior that has gotten us in these horrible times. Luther thoroughly "fucked it up" and I cant mean that in a better way, this performance was one of the best I have ever heard or seen.
This song has probably fixed more relationships than counselors have.
