some ppl say that there are two types of dobies, they say that there are EUROPEAN BREEDS, and the AMERICAN BREED, after a little bit of study there are some very small diffrences, like height and build, european dobs are of slighter build then that of the ones breed in America, but all in all they are actually the same breed, named after Louis Doberman as a protector, but who cares love your dobbies as i do mine, and the love they give back will be ten fold

dobermans are known to get vicious and aggressive.. yeah we all know that but at the same time, they are amazing family dogs.. they can also be guide dogs, police dogs, milletary dogs, sniffer dogs, family dogs and guard dogs.. people do get attack of dobermans and they are known to take out limbs from little children, but i dont blame 'em after there breed was MADE to be the 'ultimate guard dog' something fearless, fierced, royal, alert, strong, fast, energetic and etc.. dobermans are the best!

Doberman ear cropping isnt just for looks, Its purpose was to help prevent ear infection. Its just how the ear cropping and tail docking is being done for looks a lot more now but still the original purpose was to help stop ear infection

emoMKIV; the ear cropping according brred historians was meant to prevent adverseries from grabbing the Doberman by its long ears and to prevent any injuries if the dog was to get in a fight with other animals. Most people think its cruel, yet cosmetic surgeries on humans are well accepted. My Doberman has his ears cropped and I think it completes the look that was intented by Karl Louis Dobermann.

eigentlich ist in deutschland beides verboten. die rute darf nur mit einer ausnahmegenehmigung kupiert werden, wenn eine knickrute vorliegt oder wenn der hund zur jagt eingesetzt wird (wegen erhöhter verletzungsgefahr).
