LOL! You don't need power do drift you fucking dumb kid! You don't know shit about drifting. You think Need For Speed Prostreet is realistic which is why you named your account after a NFS character. Ueo, Yoshioka e.t.c are all successful and they drive Corolla AE86's which aren't very powerful but they can still easily compete with the high powered cars, You should watch the video of Yoshioka beating all the high powered muscle cars at Formula D Las Vegas with his AE86.

It's true that suspension setup is the most important part of a drift car. However, also important is the weight balance and power delivery eg. you MUST have an LSD or a welded diff. Otherwise you'll just be spinning one wheel at a time, totally uncontrolled. Power is only important in respect to the power-to-weight ratio. A light car with decent power can hang with the monsterously powered, heavier cars.

i bet Eiji "Tarzan" Yamada would disagree with you he's a pro drifter that drives that viper that Sam referenced in the video. And im an american that drifts my 89 nissan 240sx coupe. doesnt matter the nation the car or the driver came from all you need to drift is RWD manual trans and an LSD to start then if you have the money for upgrade the suspension and brakes

i'm confused. does a limited slip diff stop the car from spinning all the power away on the inside wheel?
my subaru has a limited slip diff, but it's 4WD. what does this mean? (is it the rear diff that's an LSD?)

it basically means u have a lot of traction and the limited slip differential acts on every wheel with driving force, so when one two or three wheels start spinning the engine automatically transfers more torque(driving force) to the wheel/s that has/have grip.. besides its a 4WD which is not good for drifting.. anyway u can probably (i dont know in the subaru) turn off the limited slip differential

a subaru has enough power to overhwlem the grip, if you really chuck it into a bend. you can't hold long sustained slides, but you can easily get the tail out for a little while.

that's about the worst set-up i can think of for drifting, but anything is possible.
the drifting in a FWD is never great, its usually just a couple seconds of having the tail out, sorry man.

Thats very true. BTW the drift king Keiichi Tsuchiya's favorite drift car is the mustang, and he does a real amazing job with it, so whatever the drift king says, is alright with me.
