No entiendo los colores. ¿Por qué hay momentos en los que el Polo Norte está más caliente que el África ecuatorial? ¿Qué significan?
Saludos

Muy fácil ... ( 6 months ago by campillo)

Where did you get the temperature reading from 1884? Hey also don't forget to pay for your environmental fees. The more you pay the sooner hearth will recover it's temperature.
This video is very ... ( 6 months ago by Pashford)
This video is very unrealistic. It seems as though someone has simply added an After Effect filter to a map and to animate shifts in temperature. So according to this video, in 1956 the antartic and artic were hotter than the equator and in 1996, Russia was the hottest country on earth.
They haven't exactly put much thought or common sense into this video.
I could be wrong ... ( 6 months ago by Pashford)
I could be wrong though, as a few have mentioned below that the colours are relating to variations in temperature difference in different countries, so it may not be actually temperature, more the oscillations.

I think the color ... ( 5 months ago by capilot)
I think the color means hotter (or colder) than average. So red in the Arctic doesn't mean the Arctic is hotter than the Carribean, it just means it's hotter than average for the Arctic.
Capilot is correct: ... ( 5 months ago by TempestStormwind)
Capilot is correct: This is temperature *anomaly* -- the difference between the temperature at the point in time the video's showing and some reference temperature (which is, for GISS, the average of all temperatures between 1951 and 1980). That's why that timespan has the most white (zero anomaly) areas.
There is a difference between temperature anomaly and absolute temperature.
