a girl trumpet player in the MF band, i love it!!! gosh i wish he was still alive so i could meet him. i also hope to be the next maynard ferguson, but i don't know if anyone can reach the skill level he did. rest in peace maynard.

There is someone who reached the skill level of Maynard, his name is Lynn Nicholson; which is also the person I hope you are not referring to as the "girl trumpet player in the MF band."
In the sense of the human being Maynard was and his style, no, there will never be another. But playing/tone/and note wise, there is Lynn Nicholson.

well i don't think you could be him you could come close, and i would have to say arturo sandoval is just a bit better than maynard, he played in his band, and maynard got him outta cuba, but i think he has just a little more skill than maynard did, but he learned it from the best.
