Okay - I have to state the obvious: this video and all Ive viewed so far "in response to" Geriatric1927 #13 have -- absolutely nothing -- in common with what he spoke about ... I do have to admit tho that this linguine sounds terrific !

the flavor is not as strong so you might have to use an extra can but I find that replacing the canned clams with canned crab meat is an excellent alternative. Put in a few jumbo shrimp and your really in business.

Overall, the recipe sounds pretty tasty! I would recommend adding the flour before adding the clam juice to cook out that raw taste. I would also recommend letting the clam juice reduce before adding the wine. And cooking with extra virgin is pointless; the delicate flavors you are paying extra for do not stand up to the heat. Plain old olive oil will get the job done fine.

you know why? Because of simplicity. Linguini with clums is very very easy, all you need is fresh&good clums and that's it.
Also, you do not cut the gurlic into small peaces,absolutally no flour or lemon and if you really wants tomatos use just a small amount.
