Everyone was beside themselves that the GTR hit the limiter(standard car)on a few stages and stuck there, all agreed limiter removal would see the lp560 running a very distant second.

Your too young to have EVER RACED A CAR in your life so,the race line isn't often the one you use in a race either,especially with cars in front and cars in rear you need to defend against.I have see the GTR go from behind to infront against lp560 on different race tracks in a fluid and unflappable motion. I have seen the lp560 with passenger against GTR with passenger and the GTR driver fucked up the corner to straight EVERYLAP and the lp560 beat it on ONE LAP only because of this. So funny.

australia..usa..same iritating and bullstiting for no reason whatsoever kind of thinking!!;i cannot denie what u saw..but the mathematics r simple:
lp560-4 : 2,5 kg per HP
GT-R : 3,4 kk per HP(actually, i don't rly belive this...because i don't think that the GT-R has only 480 HP,probably has somewhere btw 500 and 550!!!)
so..the no. showes v clear the fact that the GT-R is slower then lambo!!; mass, gravity and aerodinamics can't be cheated!!
p.s. lambo is only 3 time expensive then the GT-R:P

You failed to mention most people find the lp560 hard work,& the in creased up turn in causes havoc on exits,but your ROMANIAN,you don't know cars!

you just said it, porsche just wants to make money, fill a gap in the market. they used to be all about racing and making insanely good road cars. i think ferry porsche would be pissed. ferrari still has some pride; they recently said that they would never ever build a sedan. Porsche these days is becoming like every other brand, they have almost completely lost their porscheness.

There is no arguing that the main point of the gtr has always been the computers; but why on earth did nissan decide when designing the new gtr to make it 500 pounds heavier than the last one, and not offer a stick, and make it sound like every other current nissan. yes the new gtr is ridiculously incredible; but if i had 70 grand to spend on a nissan i would by an R32 and an R34.

...and the thing with the hp output...., well find ur beloved edmunds...and then u will dicover that the tested a brand new GT-R and the car had, on wheel, approx 430 HP..!!, presuminc a conservatory 15% loss...that means over 507 HP...think what it means when we wouldn't be so "conservatory"..let's say..smth around 20%...!!???

SO it's a good engine and Proof that Nissan give you what they say and not less.They said it would be around 500 hp and they weren't lying.Yeah, so it beat the Lp560 with that little engine making those figures and the lp560 isn't in that class at all.
How do you think your precious Lambo will go against 500 KW Vspec ?

I'd take the GT3 RS everyday! Not that the GT-R isn't a great accomplishment by Nissan or that it's not a fast, great handling car. The fact is, people are breaking tranny's after just a few months having used the Traction Control. The GT3 is pretty much bullet proof and a true test of racing history by Porsche. Even if the Nissan will beat it in a drag race, I'd take the GT3 RS every time for the fun factor and racing heritage that comes along with it!

I don't think they have quite lost their Porscheness. They still make top engineered cars for the track and to the subtle and informed observer have those unique characteristics like a rear engine car. Before they developed the Boxter they almost went bankrupt. The "new" Porsche direction may not be quite the same but it's necessary. Their high business acumen is allowing them to produce and develop some rad cars. But dude the 911 is still their flagship car. They haven't sold out completely

yes but they are far too concerned with buying VW and building boring, ugly sedans to notice that their cars have been beaten at the nurburgring by every other car company...Its like they don't care anymore about lap times or making good cars, they just want to make money...like every other car brand. Porsche used to have a racing version of all of their models, now it seems they build them solely for profit; and that is sad.

Ich will den Nissan ja nicht schlechtreden, der hat ganz schön Leistung, aber der Porsche fährt nicht mal ansatzweise schnell und der Nissan steht öfters mal quer. Mann hört das beim Porsche nicht rechtzeitig zurück geschaltet wird (untenrum tut sich nicht viel) und auch nich voll stehen gelassen wird (z.B. Fuchsröhre und Anfahrt Hohe Acht etc.).
