British film from the 70's dramatizing Lewis Carroll's story. Starring Fiona Fullerton, Michael Crawford, Dudley Moore, Peter Sellers and others.
I could never really get into the book or any Lewis Carroll stuff, but I do like this movie, the surreal dream-like quality of the story really comes out.

Ya know, I love this version and I got it on DVD, but the silly thing was - the DVD claimed to be digitally remastered, and I paused on a certain scene to find what looked like a splatter of spinach. o_o Actually, I'm glad it looked like spinach - when it flicked past I thought it was blood! O_O
Anyway, great movie despite the cruddy quality of my DVD. :D

I second that! Michael makes a great rabbit. I enjoy this version and LOVE Michael Crawford. Can't believe Fiona Fullerton bacame a Bond girl and Michael went on to become the legendary Phantom Of The Opera!

On a basic level, there are creepy-looking characters and settings. On a deeper level, most people are scared by this film's theme of imminent and perpetual entrapment (alice cannot seem to get out of this "Wonderland") Imagine not knowing how to get home from a completely foreign place, especially if you were a child!!
