Banned Scene 1 -- The Opening
This opening scene introduces the situation of the seals when they have to (because of the lack of ice) give birth on land and the baby seals are in great dander to get sick, die and get eaten in the first days of their lives.
Background
Finnish Broadcasting Company and French television channel Arte had started to produce a documentary about the situation of seals and porpoises in Baltic Sea. The documentary was supposed to deal among other things with the effect of global warming to these animals.
When the commission editors saw the rough-cut of the film they were shocked and stated that not even a second of the material was usable. They stated that "use of shock images and shock music" is absolutely not allowed in nature documentaries that are meant for family audiences and according to them the audience is not interested to see the damage people are causing to environment.
Because of the reaction from commission editors any use of the edition was strictly prohibited, the production ran out of money and was never finished.
These 4 clips from the rough-cut are the only evidence left of this massive film production.

they don't gain any good things from saying that global warming exists...
and besides what if global warming really exists? we have to try and reduce human CO2 releases. Even if you are right, we have to make sure the apocalypse doesnt come too soon
1- power to begin with , scare the crap out of people and vote for me to protect you
2- money, look into some of the speculation around "green" stocks
3- you dont think you can make a fortune selling flourescent bulbs?
4- control , interesting how Clinton signed Kyoto agreement to hamper our economy and exclude India and China - where have our jobs been going for decades now?
so you are saying if we build more factories, we can still live. but even if we destory all factories, we can still live.
actually, we need nitrogen and oxygen to surivive. Plants are the ones that need carbon. Plants convert CO2 into oxygen and glucose.
we release the same amount of CO2 and other toxic gases that mt. st. helens every 2 days.
and that eruption was one of the biggest.
what do you think about the CO2 that can't escape the atmosphere? does that trap heat inside the earth?
The fact is, plants are doing fine. The reason they can live is CO2 exists in the lower atmosphere. If it is a problem, that will mean the plants have reached Equilibrium. Tell me, have the plants suddenly reached equilibrium?? if they have speak up. Plant more trees if CO2 is as bad as you all say!
