If GM's only source ... ( 1 year ago by h2fcell)
If GM's only source of income were from electric hybrids like the Chevy Volt, they'd be making millions of them. "Stop buying or leasing NEW gasoline powered cars". See my vids.
There is a question ... ( 1 year ago by h2fcell)
There is a question being asked to GM shareholders on Yahoo! Answers.
If you own GM stock, go to "Yahoo! Answers" and search for "GM Shareholder proposal for action vote?"
I wonder if this is ... ( 1 year ago by tribluered)
I wonder if this is just a way for them to get main stream attention, without actually selling an electric car.
Lithium is the next ... ( 1 year ago by tribluered)
Lithium is the next target on GM's EV assassination list.

I am really looking forward to this car coming onto the market around 2009-2010. I wish I could buy one today! :)

Imagine, a 40 mile commute without a drop of gas-Chevy
I can imagine quite a bit.
How about an 80 mile commute just on lead-acid batteries.
EV-1, 1997-2001.
ha ha well thanks ... ( 1 year ago by ryanwitski)
ha ha well thanks for the inside info. just in case you were living in a cave the last couple of years GM can't do that crap they can't afford it! EV1 was a flop b/c no one bought it!! and it did not go very far (mi) but thanks for your ignorant statement that has nothing to do with truth and reality. by the way GM owns all of the lithium technologies for cars.. so ya it won't "assassinate" it's own self. okay go back into your cave... no it's okay i know the truth hurts.. wipe that tear.
ya know I'm the ... ( 1 year ago by ryanwitski)
ya know I'm the EPA's nightmare! i drive a modified Camaro V8 and run the air conditioning in my work truck with the windows open. But you know what... I might change, i REALLY like this car! I would buy it instead of the new camaro or another gas powered car.

Watch the movie ... ( 1 year ago by sandwichx)
Watch the movie death of the electric vehicle. They had an electric fleet that everyone loved and they worked!! but took them off the road. Its the same old story...wait a few years.... wait a few years... etc. they will never actually build it
The oil industry is ... ( 1 year ago by sandwichx)
The oil industry is too big. How about all of the jobs and money that will be lost? Electric cars have very few parts to sell compared to the gas engine, the motor can be rebuilt by changing two bearings, all of the mechanics that change oil, etc.
Imagine when they ... ( 1 year ago by tribluered)
Imagine when they start production of the Volt. The factory will probably built in China. Imagine all those jobs lost to America. GM hates EVs, they will do anything to stop production of EVs or make them shabby as possible.
You know how GM ... ( 1 year ago by tribluered)
You know how GM keeps saying that the battery is the problem. And all those vids that show the Volt driving around. And it makes the weirdest loudest noise. I think they can't even find good engineers to make the electric motor or put all the electric compoents together properly. Since so many people heard about the EV-1 and Cobasys NiMH battery. I bet all the good engineers wouldn't work for GM. So they ended up hiring retards to put the Volt together. Thats why it is taking so long.
Detroit newspapers ... ( 1 year ago by 2video)
Detroit newspapers report a GM plant in southwest Michigan has been assigned production of the Volt and newly designed battery packs are being installed in test vehicles this fall (2007). They prefer lithium over NiMH batteries. Looks like they're making a genuine effort to produce the Volt so let's hope it doesn't become another EV-1.
Correction to ... ( 1 year ago by 2video)
Correction to previous post: The Detroit newspapers reported Volt assembly plant is in southeast Michigan, not the southwest.
And then the ... ( 10 months ago by CAESARbonds)
And then the Chinese will make their own EV. They have started to export their vehicles. Some Chinese car makers have potential. Of course the first cars were not perfect, but they learn very quickly.
next gen EV comes from China, and a lot of Americans will loose their job because of the IGNORANCE of the US-industry.
People will buy an good EV, whether it is made in the US or China.
Heres the new chev ... ( 5 months ago by emforty2)
Heres the new chev volt? as if i we can buy one... its just a concept of their imagination keep dreaming folks..
this car does not exist not even in 3 years if it even comes out to be successful...and probably obsolete compared to the current competition
All of the good ... ( 1 month ago by jvmalum)
All of the good engineers are working on their own EV's and will beet GM to the punch, and they will do it pure electric vehicles.
Their will be new ... ( 1 month ago by jvmalum)
Their will be new jobs evolving around the new technology, battery factories, more homeland security and military people to fight all the arabs that are pissed cause they are starving w/o oil money. Yes! there will be new things to do. Convenience stores will then be just that stores w no gas. Car customization will be a huge business
1rst. of all, I 100 ... ( 1 month ago by jvmalum)
1rst. of all, I 100 % agree, I think it will require a lot of people converting their own vehicles to electric before major auto companies will get of their greedy mind set. Even then, look for them to try force Congress to prevent these cars from even being allowed on the road. It may come to blows. 2nd of all,
They have been telling us the tech. is 5 to ten years away for 20 years. They have had the tech for long time already. Lastly, I really like your name, am a huge Jethro Tull fan.
