"Blue Suede Shoes" is a rock and roll standard written and first recorded by Carl Perkins in 1955. It is considered one of the first rockabilly (rock and roll) records and incorporated elements of blues, country and pop music of the time. had planted the seed for the song in the fall of 1955, while Perkins, Cash, Elvis Presley, and other Louisiana Hayride acts toured throughout Texas and the South. Cash told Perkins of a black airman whom he had met when serving in the military in Germany. He had referred to his military regulation air shoes as "blue suede shoes". Cash suggested that Carl write a song about the shoes. Carl replied, "I don't know anything about shoes. How can I write a song about shoes?

R'n Roll started in 1954 with Bill Halley and Elvis. Beatles came later.
You´re right about that... I acutally wanted to say that there would be no rock´n´roll up to our days if there were no beatles. Nothing new would come up and rock would eventually fade away.
50ies rock sounds all the same! Thank heavens Beatles turned it into a more dinamic and creative kind of music, where the songs didn´t repeate some cliches and "leitmotifs".
Can you imagine songs like Ticket to Ride, Tomorrow Never knows and Strawberry Fields Forever writen in the 50s? Or writen by the Rolling Stones? No way!
Listen to Elvis songs like "That's all right", "Good rockin tonight", "Blue moon of kentuchy", "You're heartbreaker", and more, He is real and only creator of that, Bees Gees was the band from 1958, Beatles ripped off them.
You got to be kidding, Blue Moon was a Bill Monroe song, That's All Right was written by Arthur Crudup, Good Rocking by Roy Brown, Heartbreaker by Jack Sallee etc. etc. Elvis just covered other people's songs.
