hey verdandi - some people have tried with success. The last time i did, a couple dried back to its loose powder form. One pressed ok, but i think its because its more pigmented. There are people that used this method with success, so give it a shot.

I see you used a quarter to press round eyeshadow and a coffee press for blush. What do you use to press a square and a rectangular eyeshadow? For example, Trish McEvoy products.

I'm sure you can find something of the same size and shape to use, just look around the house. You can cut a piece of thick board to shape, and wrap in aluminum foil. that can work too.

Hi Koren. I just want to say I love all your videos and I have tried to do some of the stuff that you have teached us, but I just wonder if I have to use Isopropyl alcohol or can I use Denatured alcohol?

hey seker - yes, you can use denatured alcohol. Also I believe in Norway you can get Surgical Spirit. This works well too.

I have a really dumb question...so here goes: what is the benefit of buying pigments over pre-pressed eyeshadows and blushes? I just ordered a bunch of sample pigments, but I am not sure what the benefit is of the loose pigments. Thanks!

Hey i tried to press my nyx pearl mania pigments and i used the Isopropyl 70% alcohol but the pigments just didnt stay pressed they went back to loose pigments. Is it something i did wrong maybe? Can u plz Let me know what i can do? thankz!

awesome! i always just make my shattered shadows into loose powder, but now i have more options! also i think i might make mini pressed versions of all my powders and pigements for travel purposes--hey that reminds me, i am trying to figure out what material i can shape to any desired form to use as a pan for the e/s in old or unusual palette compacts... i hope you get what i'm trying to say...
