corporations would ... ( 6 months ago by cobratip)
corporations would have to maintain the nations best interests if they werent protected by the government - otherwise they would lose profit. also the government should protect the freedoms of individuals over corporations but today we see the opposite, the destruction of personal liberties by the government...in the name of freedom and safety! how absurd. If individual, constitutional freedoms are protected by government, everyone would be better off ulimately... or else we're employee-slaves
Yes we see the ... ( 6 months ago by VideoZonkers)
Yes we see the opposite today. That is because we have a right wing administration that favors big business over people. That is why we have elections.
its not about the " ... ( 6 months ago by cobratip)
its not about the "right" or the "left." thats all a game to keep the general public divided...theyre all on the same page. any government official takes an oath to protect the constitution from all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC. however we're witnessing our consitution's destruction. we need to get authentic constitutionalists into the system. dont be fooled by democrat and republican, mostly all of them want more power and money. look for a true OUTSIDER to change the system
actually it is ... ( 6 months ago by VideoZonkers)
actually it is about the right and the left. the right is for laissez faire deregulation--and the libertarians are the extreme example of that. and the left wants to regulate corporate power. authentic constitutionalists? that is a huge load of crap. people interpret it differently all the time, why do you think the supreme court has split decisions? let me guess..only you know the correct interpretation.
dont put too much ... ( 6 months ago by cobratip)
dont put too much faith in government regulation. the less there is, the better off we are. federal government's main purpose is to protect individual liberties and maintain the military...thats about it.
you are wrong. ... ( 6 months ago by VideoZonkers)
you are wrong. without government regulation, we'd have lower wages, an unsafe food supply, more pollution, more corporate monopolies. these things are of course getting worse and worse since the govt. has moved to the right and deregulation. it is amazing to me how libertarians have bought into some backwards fantasy where somehow corporations will be good as long as you don't regulate them. it isn't hard to open a history book and look at our early industrial age or just look at china now.
if government ... ( 6 months ago by cobratip)
if government protected your personal liberties and defended your private property, you would be protected from all those bad things you just mentioned. china has massive amounts of regulation, it's communist! and look what comes of it, lead in the toys. government regulation = less freedom = less safe
sorry you must've ... ( 6 months ago by VideoZonkers)
sorry you must've missed the past 5 years or so where china opened up their economy and it is completely unregulated. that is why companies are allowed to pay whatever they want to people and there are no inspectors coming to the factories to look for lead, pollution. Sorry I'm done debating you, you've swallowed the libertarian bs and it is impossible to have a logical conversation with someone who thinks regulations on corporations allow them to be worse. good luck to you.
i just said that if ... ( 6 months ago by cobratip)
i just said that if government protected your personal liberties, regulations would be put in place under that philosophical argument...which is fine
All the wealth is ... ( 6 months ago by chewbaca1989)
All the wealth is steadily is taken from Europeans and they have no say in their government. It's a matrix.
How is the ... ( 6 months ago by takadi)
How is the government any less different than a cartel? I'm not talking about sovereignty, something which you for some reason pulled out of your ass to invalidate my point.
Government is a legitimized coercive monopoly
The republicans ... ( 6 months ago by erickrietlow)
The republicans increased the national unfunded liabilities to about 46 trillion, from 20.3, in just five years. that's about as left-wing as you can come. did you know you can't even operate a automotive paint booth without an industrial air filtration system anymore? you can't have heavy regulation WITHOUT big business - they're the only ones who can afford to meet all of the standards required by the regulations!
you think that ... ( 6 months ago by VideoZonkers)
you think that because republicans increased spending they are left-wing. that means you know little about political theory.
chewbaca that is a ... ( 6 months ago by VideoZonkers)
chewbaca that is a great point if you ignore that they have elections. elections that are free from lobbyist influence due to regulation. so that point isn't so great after all.
if you think ... ( 6 months ago by erickrietlow)
if you think libertarians are by definition Right Wing you dont either..
libertarians are ... ( 6 months ago by VideoZonkers)
libertarians are the extreme right wing, except for social issues. read up on laissez faire governance, you'll like it.

Oh, I forgot. It ... ( 6 months ago by clellJASMINE)
Oh, I forgot. It wasn't governments protecting large corporations that led to monopolies. Big Corporations don't lobby the government for protection. And government employees and politicians are always honest, unlike business owners, who are always corrupt. You should move to China or some other communist country.
And so with 100 ... ( 6 months ago by clellJASMINE)
And so with 100 years of regulations you think the system is more fair now. You should go start a business. Come up with an idea. Hire some employees. See what you think then Mr. Zonkers. Ron Paul's policy is to allow private property owners sue corporations for polluting their land. And what's wrong with maximizing profits. You do it every day. Have you turned down a raise lately? I think not.
You need to read ... ( 6 months ago by clellJASMINE)
You need to read the Constitution. It's only a few pages.
Bet you can't read the OSHA book. hahahaha

Yeah, you must have a PHD in government. You must watch CNN and MSNBC and FOX. And all the Sunday morning political shows. You are one intelligent dude or dudess. Why don't you write a book and straighten us all out?
