Your comments are laughable, as it is obvious that you are entirely unaware that Picasso was a child prodigy who at the age of sixteen could draw in a traditional sense at least as skillfully as the three artists you mention (two of whom I greatly admire). I suggest you seek out a book titled "Picasso, the Development of a Genius, and prepare to be amazed.

You're an impostor. You obviously don't know the first thing about Picasso and I doubt you could tell a Michelangelo from Raphael. I genuinely regret that I must be so blunt, but sophomoric bluster of this sort rapidly drains my patience.

schools do teach students to think outside the box which is obviously a good thing but the state of many art schools including the one im attending, fail to teach and imrpove a persons artistic skills.

yes i have seen Picassos early work which everyone uses to validate him as an artist, i have yet to be impressed. I disagree with the idea that he could draw as good as any Renaisance artis, google "picasso fraud".

Some say Picasso was no good, a fraud, or not better than any kid, yet strangely no one yet can draw as well. Academicians in particular tend to become bitter, and end up missing all that great art offers on its many levels (don't forget content, passion, composition, originality, economy of means, and a thousand other things). Instead they get hung up on "correct" rendering and cannot see the forest for the trees. Academicians typically lack the spirit to be a real artist.

Blah, blah , blah you guys are only good in talking. ART is DOING it can be a primitive approach or whatever as long as you practice your own style/method - that is what you call skill. Oil paint was invented for painting flesh but no realist ever succeeded to put nature into the canvas. You can copy nature but you will never put any physical world into your canvas. Picasso, was able to do it his canvases became nature because he created a PICASSO.

funny how ppl takes michelangelo or other artits and picassom trying to make examples or anologies, using their style and work. modern art is picasso, michelangelo, mantegna or messina are artists of a total different style and era. picasso can be criticized in the modern art contest only.

The opposite is true: ALL THE ARTISTS in Paris (Brancusi, Mpdigliani: everybody) went crazy - around 1905 -with everything was tropical (NOT ONLY , not specifically african) and they created the ARTE MULATA which Modernity itself, the global culture today (something similar happened in the 1930s with blues in Chicago), Study a few years and some dozen books your subject before talking !!!

Thank you - I just saw Picasso Art Collection in Brisbane recently at the Queensland Art Gallery - it was superb.
